20 years of Clinical Experience
In nearly 2 decades of practicing as an anesthesiologist, I have worked in diverse clinical settings (level 1 trauma center, community hospitals, outpatient surgery, physician offices) and taken care of patients in the OR as well as for NORA (Non-OR-Anesthesia) procedures. I am an expert in all aspects of peri-operative care — beginning from pre-op risk stratification & optimization, intra-op management, to recovery in the PACU.
My favorite part of clinical practice is the direct patient care. Acknowledging this unique setting where you meet a person in their most vulnerable state, it is ever more critical to establish rapport effectively, so that a trusting relationship can develop in that compressed period of time. I am able to breakdown complex medical concepts into digestible parts for the lay audience, and thus alleviating their anxiety. I am an equally effective communicator in deposition and testimony as an expert witness, as I articulate the professional standards of care of my specialty in accessible language to others, whether serving as an expert for the plaintiff or defense.
I am an expert witness who consults, drafts expert reports, testifies, and provides litigation support on anesthesiology and related issues. Educated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (B.S.), Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (M.D.), and UC Davis (residency), my collective training to date has developed my ability to process large volumes of information, wade through the weeds, and focus on the relevant details to arrive at impartial and logical conclusions during case reviews and discovery. I will bring these acquired skills, along with my integrity and the ability to stay cool under pressure to deposition or trial testimony.
